Hitachi has announced a writer combo Blu-ray DZ-WR90, producing a record without using a computer. The main advantage of the new drive is the ability to record video on the disc away from the PC, with a handy wall socket AC line.
This decision will help to record Blu-ray discs directly from your hard drive camcorders equipped with eSATA- Ports. In addition to Blu-ray Disc supports new standard DVD discs. DZ-WR90 allows you to move the disk up to 3 hours of video in HD, or 1.5 hours of normal quality video.
Retail price DZ-WR90 not yet been announced, but we know that in Japan it will go on sale in mid-July.
